All Girls Are Gorgeous in Jantzen

Found this hanging in the baseball stadium. Like the baseball team itself, Jantzen is a has been. Jantzen Swimwear manufactured their swimsuits over on Sandy Blvd. and about 23rd for years and years. My friend Terril went to work there at age 18 and stayed for at least 30 years!

Baseball

Today we watched the last game of professional baseball in Portland. No more Portland Beavers who are a farm team for San Diego. The players were introduced and someone in front of us stuck their finger up as though to say, "put one more guy right here." It was fun, and corny as baseball can be. The Beavers won the game but lost the war as they say. Our mayor sold the stadium to a soccer team leaving the Beavers without a home.

High Shadow Act

Bike, shadow and tiny bird shadow to boot. Looking down from the Burnside Bridge.

Spider Legs

A flurry of fuzzy legs plotting to catch whatever flies in amongst the basil.

Porch Pots

It helps to carry the camera with you and snap as you go. Of course you risk leaving on the woodpile where you set it down to help Eric install a second nest in the henhouse. Then you go off and move some compost and about 2 hours later catch a glimpse of it on the woodpile in the full sun. Maybe I should only carry the small camera around, of course then I'd never see it again.

Napkin

Napkin with chair and loose thread. Yes, sometimes I feel like I'm drawing straws when it comes to choosing the picture du jour. Not that I'm messing with the whole idea of straws, mind you,  although I know someone who is messing with straws, but I'll bet not for very long.

I'll drink to that!

Bright Blooms

Today was a wonderful mix of brightness, clouds,  and warm showers. All the tired plants are perking up after a bit of moisture. I'm hoping there is brightness and good news down where you are.
