Bike and Plate

The bike on its new rack has been moved to the storage unit - I guess until my back/hip gets better. See something else hanging in Eric's car condo? This is the best I could come up with, photo-wise, been a painful day, but tomorrow I see Vicki again!

Bathscape

Ahhh, escape. Escape from the soap opera to the soap bubbles. Future installments of high drama gardening intrigue to come. But for now, hand me that book and leave me alone.

Flying By the Seat . . .

No, this isn't how I hurt my back, but as I stood there watching Eric mount our tandem on its new rack, I told him Vicki, my Pilates and physical rehab person who lives across the street, could look out her window and wonder what in the world I thought I was about to do. And, I do long to do it, too: zip along that nice trail on the Columbia or ride through those old tunnels on the Old Gorge Highway. . . .

Scoop o' Cunocar Anyone?

I wish I knew how to draw arrows and use text in PhotoShop. Instead I did this convoluted way to point out things I want you to notice in the photo. But now that I'm posting it, I see I could've just waited and pointed those things out right here. Oh well, hope you can read it!

Messing with Multiple Shots

Terril and I took about a hundred shots today; 10 at a time. Then had a hard time lining them up for my post.

Had dinner at Tsunami Thai on Killingsworth at Greeley. Still a great place to eat.

Paper Weight

My paper weight is a half ball of clear, solid glass. I wanted to do a close-up, but right away found there were way too many sources of light blocking the scene. So I backed off.

Ready for Use

. . . and already keeping the flies out! Wonder what fun project we will tackle first: painting the porches, replacing the porch floor, or that fence?

Summer's Coming

Getting the new screen/storm doors installed. Many finishing touches left to do, so there is still no 'after' shot.

Passiflora

Came home with three blooms from our garden club's passion flower lecture. These three are so lovely, but nothing like some of the more fragile ones I have no hope of ever growing. Do you have any?

Dove and Shell

Spending the day watching and waiting for the man to finish installing two new storm/screen doors. Feel a bit shy to be taking pictures of that action, so while keeping warm at the fire (both doors removed and it's cold in here) took this of my dove. The shell is a memento of Eric's from a long ago teaching mentor who recently died.

Empty Chairs

Ate dinner and played Bananagrams at a new tavern. It was quiet and so peaceful. We hope to experience the very same conditions next time - even though I don't imagine they do.

Plates to Wash

Hosted the main course for our 5th annual Progressive Dinner Party. Patricia made the enchiladas; I made the fajitas. Eric did the washing up. Four courses at four houses; 22 people.

Waiting for Windows

Our new windows are still sitting in the alcove waiting for that right combination of good weather and an available installer.

Taxes

OK, so it's a litle staged. But you get the idea of the kind of day I've had. This should remind me not to let it go until the last minute again. Especially when the news wasn't so good. Boohoo.

Gray Day

On our regular walk, this house seemed especially gray today.

Spines

Not to be too cutesy with the titles here, but I do have an aching back that is getting better and I liked the dual feeling I got when I glanced at the figurine: hope for my back, and somehow a memory of June Powers.

Missed the Parade, now what?

Walking back to the car from the Symphony, spotted these hats looking for an out from their window perches. Missed their big day last Sunday, I bet they'd settle for a beer at the Lotus Card Room.

Faded Daffodil

Daffodils hang around quite awhile, pleasing us the entire time, even in the throes of dying.

Rock Wall with Broken Fence

Finished the wall - at least as far as it's going to get finished this year. I tapered it off and will leave it like that until I get inspired again. That's gonna be at least a year. I did get pleasure from sweeping the sidewalk after finishing up today. Alas, now that poor old fence, when will we tackle that!

I sat there snapping pics of people walking by on the street, then looked at them at home and found I liked  part of one pic hidden in a corner.

Yawning Warmth

It has been so cold and rainy, much more so than when you were here in February. We love our wood insert!

Striving for Balance and a Pink Tulip

I have a new landscape design client. Mostly she wants ongoing help as in, "I just bought this, where should I put it." After taking many pics of the yard, this is what I came up with. She has many great plants and nice features, but I came up with this. Maybe I just wanted to get in out of the rain storm.

Daffodil Close-up

Getting to know my close-up possibilities. I want to develop a tripod habit.

Easter 7:15 p.m.

After a day full of family and food the evening light quiets down the house as Eric cleans up the kitchen.

Blue Bike Revisited

Decided this shot was worth saving. (It's the one I couldn't attach yesterday and finally gave up and used another.) But, it's back! And one of these days I'm going to see if it's parked there again as the woman seemed to work at the coffee shop right there. Maybe she'd put on her blue scarf for me!

Fenced In and Out

Back in the rabbit days, I wasn't sure if they were being fenced out or if it was me. Looks like the daffodils can't figure it out, either.
